Elite teams of ASPN receiving Ministry of Sports award

A Landmark Day for Global Sports Tech Innovation

The ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator Batch 3 Demo Day brought together some of the brightest minds and most groundbreaking technologies in the global sports industry. Supported by the Ministry of Sports and executed by the Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy (IAPS) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), the event took place at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei.

Featuring 20 selected startup teams from 10 countries and regions—including Japan, Singapore, Australia, Spain, the United States, Netherlands, and Taiwan—the Demo Day showcased high-impact solutions spanning sports data analytics, AI video applications, smart devices, and community platforms[1].

Among this competitive lineup of international innovators, Locus Sports captured the attention of industry leaders, investors, and judges alike.

During the intense business pitch competition, Locus Sports took the stage to present their innovative vision for the future of sports technology. In addition to their live pitch, Locus Sports hosted an interactive booth in the exhibition hall, giving attendees, corporate partners, and international mentors a firsthand look at their solution.

The Demo Day brought together prominent industry partners such as Decathlon Taiwan, Mizuno, NVIDIA, Chunghwa Telecom, and Plug and Play Taiwan, providing a vibrant platform for commercial matchmaking and cross-border networking

The Big Win: Ministry of Sports Award

The highlight of the event came during the official award ceremony, where Locus Sports was officially awarded the Ministry of Sports Award !

As one of the highest honors presented at the ASPN Demo Day, the Ministry of Sports Award carries a prize value exceeding NTD 150,000. This prestigious recognition grants Locus Sports:

  • International Representation: The exclusive opportunity to represent the Ministry of Sports at world-class global summits and international exhibitions.
  • Full Travel & Accommodation Support: Complete airfare and lodging coverage to support their international expansion.

This victory underscores Locus Sports’ exceptional technology, strong business model, and potential to make a lasting impact on the global sports ecosystem

Unwinding & Connecting at the ASPN Afterparty

The celebration didn’t end on the main stage. Following the intense pitch competition and award presentations, founders and attendees gathered at 光一一個時間, located just a short walk from the exhibition hall, for the official ASPN Batch 3 Afterparty.

Over a delicious buffet spread and chilled Taiwan Beer, founders from around the world relaxed, swapped stories, and forged organic connections outside the structured event format. A personal highlight of the evening was catching up with my friend Mohan from India—exchanging insights on our respective founder journeys and discussing potential cross-border collaborations. Real connections like these truly capture the collaborative spirit of the global ASPN ecosystem.

What’s Next for Locus Sports?

Winning the Ministry of Sports Award marks an exciting new chapter for Locus Sports. With the support of the ASPN Accelerator network, NYCU IAPS, and the Ministry of Sports, Locus Sports is poised to take their innovative technology onto world-class international platforms.

Congratulations to the entire team at Locus Sports for this outstanding achievement! and to the mentors who helped us in tis journey.
